I thought is was going to be hard fitting in here, but it is easier then i expected. The people have excepted me with open arms. Now i am making the rounds in town, like shopping for food, having coffee, and getting my hair cut. I can get used to living this simple.
PS-Im going out for a night on the town this weekend with some people i met. Will see how it compares to party's in the states.

COPS IN SPANISH
It is amusing to watch the tv show cops in spanish because the show is dubbed in spanish. On the serious side this is helping me to learn the language because these are all repeats from the states.

Day 1
Woke up this morning at 5:30 am the sun was already out. I took a walk around the property, there were all types of fruits and vegetables growing. There were two dairy cows in the field right behind my house (all things new to me). After the walk I had breakfast with my family. I had fresh oj and my favorate Colombian food an arepa (cornmeal and cheese fried in a pan). The day was great. The only thing I have to ajust to is being 13,000 feet above sea level because the air is thin and it is hard to breathe.

CULTURE SHOCK
December 2009 2:00 pm Bogota airport WOW!!! what a different world. I just got off the plane and I am out of my comfort zone. I don`t speak spanish so I was happy to see my dad and his wife. The drive to the house was about an hour. Once we were out of the city the view of the mountains were majestic. Arriving at the farm I felt excited about my new start at life and wondering if I could live it.
